Wednesday random TAG

Seeing as finances are REALLY bad and I can't really afford anything other than the strictly necessary, I thought I'd entertain yous with a little random TAG.

As usual feel free to do it yourself and let me know if you do a post about it.

Cheeeeeriiioooooo

What is bothering you right now?

The list is endless.....

Do you like celebrity magazines?

Gossip ones? No.

When was the last time you were ill? Why?

Back in March, queuing 12 hours in freezing rain for a The Script gig gave me one of the worst head colds I've ever had, 10 days it lasted and it ruined my Paddy's celebrations too.

Do you feel you belong in a different era?

I don't ever feel I belong anywhere....

Who owns you?

Stress and anxiety at the moment

Favorite country in Europe?

It's got to be Italy and Ireland. I love pretty much the whole of Europe though, it's just amazing for the variety of sceneries, people, cultures etc etc

Did you skive off school?

I did quite a bit of it the last year as I really felt uncomfortable in class. I would mainly go to book stores or the local library and spend time with my college friends studying anyway.

Ever played an instrument?

Guitar, and was a self taught learner of piano

Favorite alcoholic drink?

Italian wine

Do you follow fashion?

Not religiously and I don't have to have all the "ïn" items, but I do like to keep myself updated with trends and the likes. I have often noticed since I was 10 that what is my own trend or "ït" piece for a season, turns out to be cool 2 or 3 seasons later. It's kind of a bit scary...

What colour are your eyes? Do you like that colour?

They're naturally grey blue, however they change a lot depending on the light and weather. I am generally not mad about them for many reasons but I DO love them on a sunny day, they turn the most amazing light icy blue

Would you ever want to visit Russia?

I have once already, over 20 years ago, but I would love to go back and see how it's changed

What is the furthest you have travelled from your home? How far was it?

As I just mentioned, Russia. I haven't been outside of Europe, but I do love the fact I have covered most of it, some countries visited more than once, instead of heading straight over seas.

What is the coldest temperatures you have experienced? Where were you?

I have experienced -25 Celsius in the Alps for a few winters in a row: LOVED it!

What is the hottest temperatures you have experienced? Where were you?

45 Celsius in Germany on a cycling 12 hour trip, I have NO idea how I didn't die. NEVER again!

Imagine you have three wishes. List them. (A million more wishes doesn't count)

1. To have normal vision 2. to have 100 mil in the bank 3. To be happy

Are you keeping a secret from the world?

Who isn't?!

If you could go back in time and give advice to yourself ten years ago, what would you say?

Don't believe in dreams, they're just there to delude you and break your heart.

How have you changed in the past 10 years?

I am definitely more self confident and in the last few months I have started to be slightly selfish

Is abortion wrong?

I don't personally think it is

Do you like long train/car journeys?

I do!!! 95% of the time they make me sleep like a baby

Have you ever considered writing a novel?

I kind of have written or helped writing one.

Have you ever punched someone in the face?

I have, about 14 years or so ago, it was someone who had been bullying me for 8 years. He stopped after that though!

What is your worst trait?

I always gives people the benefit of the doubt. And I have days when I let my disability bring me down more than it should.

What is your sense of humour like?

Weird, witty and filthy

Are you a good person?

I try my best...

Go ahead and fill a few minutes of your time with this!

the week in brief n. 2

- I have been "suffering" from the most dreadful writer's block! I have this blog post about the modelling experience, that I started the day after I got back....but I can't seem to be able to finish it or improve it. The 2 posts from today prior to this took me days to type up and finish. ...hopefully my creative juices will start flowing again soon!

- still unemployed *sigh*

- on Thursday morning I went for a coffee with a special friend, we both really needed it. Should do this more often.

- as of today I am home alone for a few days. I think I need it, to prove to myself and "the world" that I can be independent too. Although I will probably be a bit scared come night time(I live in a bit of a dodgy area), I'm pretty sure I'll be able to manage!

- discussions are being held to go back to Florence towards the end of summer for a big proper photo shoot for the designer I modelled for last week.

- I'm a bit all over the place body wise. Italy was REALLY hot and humid, temperatures around or over the 30 degrees mark. When I landed back in Dublin it was 13, 2 days later it was 8 and down pouring... I thought the weather forecasters said we were gonna have a super hot summer with heat around 30 degrees?!

- this week's food indulgence is going to be: salmon in a million different ways and tonnes of Italian pasta and wine!

An angel looking after your skin

Introducing the multi beauty awards winning Green Angel, ladies and gents!
They are a 100% Irish company (yay!!!) based in Co. Dublin and their range consists of unique hand crafted skin care, health, spa and hair care products which combine the rejuvenate benefits of “Seaweed extracts” (taken from five different seaweeds harvested from the unpolluted waters off the West coast of Ireland) with all the benefits of a variety of natural, high quality “Essential oils”.

For the summer they have released 2 new excellent products, here they are.

Sunrise Body Smoother with Natural Salt, Lemon, Grapefruit & Irish Seaweed Extract, €24.95 RRP

Green Angel Sunrise Body Smoother is an altogether luxurious product, which refreshes, pampers and rejuvenates the body’s skin leaving it smooth and velvety soft.
It contains natural ingredients such as salt, lemon, grapefruit and Irish seaweed extract which enhances the elasticity and smoothness of the skin. The natural salts help to exfoliate thus eliminating dead skin cells. Results are noticeable after just one treatment.
Green Angel’s Sunrise Body Smoother can also be used for manicures and pedicures. When applied the product leaves skin and nails looking smooth and healthy.

Green Angel Pure Indulgence Body Lotion with Neroli and Chamomile, €14.95 RRP

Green Angel Pure Indulgence Body Lotion has take

n the healing and revitalising benefits of Irish Seaweeds and combined them with high quality essential oils to give an altogether luxurious product. This lavish product, enriched with Vitamin E will nourish, soothe, condition and tone the skin, leaving it soft and silky and beach ready.
Green Angel were kind enough to let me try the body lotion and I have to take a second to thank them for giving me a quick "holiday" somewhere exotic! The lotion itself is very, very fluid, it applies super quick, although it takes a while to dry.
The smell off it is something out of this world, I closed my eyes and I could see me relaxing on a tropical beach surrounded by the most amazing perfumed plants and flowers...indescribable!
Although the perfume is pretty strong when you apply it, you hardly smell it once it's dry, so it won't cover or spoil the scent of your perfume of choice.

Both products, as well as their complete range of fantastic products, are available in leading pharmacies and gift stores nationwide as well as through www.greenangel.com. For a full list of products and nationwide stockists click here.
Shipping and handling rate for deliveries within Ireland and the UK is €9.50 and is FREE for orders above €95.
For a quote on shipping rates for deliveries to countries outside of Ireland and UK you will need to get in contact with them.

Let me know if you have used any of their products yet or if you intend to.

Eylure Dylash Eyelash dye kit: review

Eylure Dylash Eyelash and brow dye kit - Dark Brown

I have always been the kind of girl to do her beauty treatments at home, as much as possible. Firstly to save money, but it's also a sense of independence and accomplishment, not letting my eye sight get in the way!
The only 2 treatements I wouldn't do myself are dye my hair(mainly because I do 3 times a year, and it's the only 3 times a year I go to my hairdresser's) and tint my lashes. I used to go to a salon close to my place and get it done there.
Then I realised it was very easy, and for the same price of one tint at the salon, I could buy this kit that supposedly lasts you qite a few applications.
I bought this a good while ago, but because my fashion show in Italy required me being all natural, I couldn't put it to the test, until now.
Well....let me tell you, it was a big fat fail...

Here's the before photos:

I followed the instructions perfectly, and actually left the tint on for 15 minutes instead of 10 because any kind of dye on my hair/lashes takes longer to develope.
I was actually happy that it didn't sting as much as when I get it done in the salon, that was a plus!

And here's the results....

...not exactly the dark brown I was expecting...

And now I'm left with the kit and I don't know what to do with it....? Shall I just throw it away and try a darker tint? Or finish the whole thing anyway because I paid for it?

What do you guys think?
